Senior students lead Primary workshops

  • Wholeschool News

On 20 March, the Secondary Student Leadership Team and Sixth Form volunteers were honoured to lead Primary workshops for Year 1 and Year 2.

The students shared the story of The Rainbow Fish and organised arts and crafts activities for the children, including creating a paper plate Rainbow Fish, a paper plate jellyfish, and a paper plate crab.

The children were exceptionally eager, courteous and an absolute delight to collaborate with. Both the Milepost 1 students and the Sixth Form volunteers had an unforgettable afternoon, thoroughly immersing themselves in the experience and relishing every moment, especially when playing tag during the break while enjoying the sunshine.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Ms Hughes, the Director of Milepost 1, for her unwavering mentorship and invaluable support throughout the entire event.

A special thank you goes to Mr Maylin, Head of the English Faculty, for his perpetual support and encouragement of the Sixth Form volunteers.
