Soup disco nourishes

Year 9 students joined forces with St George's canteen staff to cook vegetable soup for Le Courage Café in Bonnevoie, a social bistro that provides free meals, showers and laundry for people without stable housing. The ingredients were supplied by Foodsharing Luxembourg, a volunteer-run non-profit whose mission is to ensure that all edible food in Luxembourg is consumed, not wasted.
The students didn’t stop at cooking: they also wrote cards with messages of kindness for the people visiting Le Courage. It was a fantastic example of compassion in action – turning rescued food into a warm meal and a moment of dignity for those who need it.
We are proud of our Year 9 students for working with staff and partner organisations to support our community and for demonstrating that small acts of solidarity can make a big difference.
