Students shine at COBIS conference
19 November 2025
St George’s was honoured to contribute to this year’s COBIS (Council of British International Schools) Conference on Belonging and Inclusion, attended by more than 150 international school leaders and professionals. The invitation was a significant achievement and our students rose to the occasion with exceptional maturity and insight.
Students Sully, Cai, Matthew and alumni Safi and Amber contributed to the conference’s belonging video, offering thoughtful and compelling reflections that left a lasting impression on the wider conference. Speakers and participants referenced the students’ comments throughout the day and Dr Emily Meadows, in her keynote address, highlighted their insights several times. Staff from other international schools described the students as intelligent, articulate and deeply impactful. We could not be prouder.
Michaela, Laura, Chidube and Samuel represented St George’s in the student panel discussion. As the youngest contributors – most other panellists were older secondary students – they demonstrated extraordinary confidence, empathy and clarity in their responses.
The online audience praised the students for their thoughtful perspectives and were impressed by their maturity. Their willingness to speak openly, honestly and courageously embodied the very best of our school values: respect, kindness and courage. They were truly outstanding representatives of our community.
