Admissions
We welcome new families and students throughout the academic year, space permitting.
We recommend that parents arrange a meeting and school tour with our Admissions Officer Kerry Tranter before applying.
We are an inclusive school, and academic ability is only one factor when we offer places to children. We ask prospective Secondary students to attend the mandatory visit to class and complete assessments in literacy, numeracy and languages, which allows us to make sure all students join the most appropriate teaching group within their year.
Primary applicants attend the mandatory two-day class visit and sample daily life, without assessment.
Our children are not required to have English – though it is a big advantage – but from age 5 it helps to have basic English with some level of independent literacy and numeracy skills.
Prospective students are invited for one or two taster days in the appropriate year group. We ask parents to bring children to the Reception area by 8.20am. We will escort younger children to the Primary school. Secondary-age 'buddies' will collect the student and take them to registration and a full day of lessons. This gives your children the opportunity to meet teachers and peers as well as understand the day-to-day routines of the school.
The school makes a limited number of protected places available for refugee children in Luxembourg. Please contact our Admissions Officer if you would like to apply for such a place. The offer of these places does not affect the operation of our waiting lists. To receive financial support, your financial situation will also need to be disclosed to the school.
Kerry is happy to answer any questions about admissions over the phone, or by email until a visit can be arranged.
