Primary teams battle on court

St George's Primary basketball teams took to the court at Michel Lucius on Saturday, 25 January, for an exciting series of games against Michel Lucius and ISL. 

The girls' team showcased their talent and teamwork, emerging victorious in both matches. In a nail-biting contest against ISL, they secured a 26-20 win, demonstrating resilience and strategy. Stella H was the standout player, displaying exceptional speed and skill, with crucial steals and timely scoring that propelled the team when it mattered most. 

Following this intense matchup, the girls faced Michel Lucius and continued their winning streak, delivering a solid performance with a final score of 23-14. Matilde P, Magdalena M and Serena S also played pivotal roles, contributing to a well-rounded team effort that highlighted their chemistry and determination on the court.

While the boys faced tough challenges, they showed tremendous heart and sportsmanship. In their first match against a formidable ISL team, they fought hard but ultimately fell short, with a final score of 42-10. Despite the tough loss, the boys regrouped and took on Michel Lucius in a closely contested match. Fatigue set in as both teams battled fiercely, but St George's pushed through, ultimately losing 31-20. 

Maximo A, Tom Z and Eytan D led the charge for the boys, showcasing their skills and perseverance, even in the face of adversity. Their competitive spirit remained high, reflecting the core values of St George's.
