Dragons deliver spectacular performance

St George's Dragons boys' football team delivered a spectacular performance against Michel Lucius on Thursday, 11 June 2026, winning 6-1. The team started the game with relentless energy, breaking through the opposition’s defence and generating quality chances that hit the post on three occasions. Although none of those early efforts found the back of the net, our confidence grew and we remained assured that a breakthrough was imminent.

William opened the scoring for St George's with a superb finish over the outstretched goalkeeper, following a precise pass from Dauren. Our defence, anchored by outstanding play from Juan, Milo, Christian and Seamus, kept the pressure high and allowed us to extend the lead as William struck again to make it 2-0. Shortly after, we conceded a goal that reduced the margin to 2-1, but Aneesh and our defenders responded decisively, tightening up at the back.

Luca added two goals of his own and William followed with two more to complete his four-goal performance on the day. It was a true team effort, with every player contributing to the victory and enjoying the result together.
