Meet our Primary Yearbook artist
16 July 2026
This year’s Primary Yearbook cover features Dragon Eye, a striking artwork created by Primary student Emma.
Emma developed the piece over four weeks during art lessons. While many of her classmates chose to create either fire or water dragons, Emma was drawn to the blended colours of the pupil and the green scales. She decided to combine these ideas, giving her dragon eye its own distinctive character.
To create the artwork, Emma blended the colours in the pupil using watercolours before adding the finer details with pens.
For Emma, the joy of art lies in the freedom to use her imagination: “I like that you can be as creative as you want, and whatever you make becomes a piece of art.”
There is one more interesting detail about Dragon Eye: it is not quite finished. Emma still plans to add some final touches with a black pen.
We are delighted to recognise Emma’s creativity and to feature her artwork on this year’s Primary Yearbook cover. Her work is a wonderful celebration of imagination, individuality and the creativity of our students.
