Year 11 starts the year with wellbeing

  • Secondary News

Year 11 students have started their year with a focus on wellbeing in the PSHE curriculum. The unit was in response to a survey in which students were asked for suggestions of topics they would like covered.

Mrs Mckenna and Mr Evans helped students identify their learning styles and then guided students in how to create a revision timetable. Mr Maylin discussed the importance of monitoring phone and social media use, and the importance of being intentional with our digital footprint. Mr Browne delivered lessons on hydration and sleep and delivered a stress-reducing breathwork exercise. Students also received a water bottle.

The next focus will be a four-week university and careers unit led by Careers Adviser Mrs Hudson.
