Students donate 165 teddy bears to Red Cross

  • Secondary News

The Key Stage 5 Student Leadership Team donated 165 teddy bears to The Red Cross on Saturday, 11th May.

We would like to thank everyone who spent their time choosing a toy to donate. You made it possible for us to brighten up the lives of so many children living at the refugee centre in Luxembourg.

Volunteers from the Student Leadership Team have arranged many workshops and activities at the Red Cross throughout the last two academic years, and we are all truly happy that thanks to the efforts of our school's community, we were able to ensure that every child gets a present.

You can see a photo of all the bags with the teddy bears collected below, along with the toy which started off the donation. This teddy bear brought us hope that the St George’s community would come together to help us achieve our aim. Thank you so much for helping refugee children.
