Inspiring Women of Luxembourg Documentary: Past, Present and Future

12 October 2023

St George’s Year 5 and 6 Primary students had the opportunity to attend the preview of "Inspiring Women of Luxembourg – Past, Present and Future," an empowering documentary illuminating the lives of 12 inspirational women who have left a memorable mark on the history of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Directed by Anne Schroeder the film is a celebration of diversity, empowerment, and resilience.

The documentary delves deep into the lives of these 12 women, who come from different backgrounds and walks of life. They share their personal stories, challenges, and triumphs, offering viewers an insight into the hard work that went into achieving their goals.

To complement this inspiring day, St George’s had the great honour of hosting Colette FLESCH, Colette MART, Netty THINES, Sylvia CAMARDA and Sascha LEY at the school. Students were thrilled to have the chance to meet and interview these remarkable women, and the students proudly presented the biographies of these guests in an assembly held in the school’s Auditorium. While Jana Degrott and Barbara Agostino were regrettably unable to attend, the students still devoted themselves to learning about these women and delivering a presentation that did their biographies justice. The day proved to be an exceptionally enriching experience for all the students and staff involved.
