Dr Guy Sutton visits during Brain Awareness Week

11 March 2014

To kick off Brain Awareness Week, St George’s was very privileged to have Dr Guy Sutton come visit the school and work with students in Key Stage 5. Dr Sutton spent the day giving extremely interesting presentations on Forensic Psychology, Criminology, disorders of the brain and much more. Students gained a fascinating insight into the workings of the human brain through a variety of different mediums; short presentations, informative video clips, and they even had a rare hands-on experience holding and touching a sheep’s brain enabling them to see major parts such as the cerebellum and the hippocampus while Dr Sutton dissected it! We were extremely lucky to have Dr Guy Sutton, his short lectures are at undergraduate level so students will get a taster of what to expect at university.
