Year 6 trip to the Domaine des Grottes de Han
13 May 2015
As part of Year 6’s topic on pre-historic man and the evolution of species the students went on a trip to the Domaine des Grottes de Han where they went on a safari and observed European animals that used to populate our Northern European forests. They saw horses such as the Przewalski from which domestic horses descended and learned about aurochs which were reintroduced by selective breeding after having become extinct. Year 6 also visited a fascinating cave which has evidence of prehistoric humnan life and was full of the most incredible stalactites and stalagmites.
