Year 6 students went back in history on Monday, 7th February, to the times of Charles the Great and spent the whole day as medieval lords, ladies, knights and villains.

This was the culmination of their topic, 'Jousting for Beginners', in which the students have been learning about life in Luxembourg in medieval times. 

There was jousting, archery and tapestry making. The students also created a performance of Tennyson's poem The Lady of Shalott, built a mini-trebuchet and made panels for a stained-glass window.
