Year 3 students give roaring performance in 'Dumble the Dinosaur'

31 January 2014

Anyone who saw the play ‘Dumble the Dinosaur’ yesterday would agree that Year 3 put on a spectacular performance. ‘Dumble the Dinosaur’, adapted and written by Mrs Skinner, is a musical set in a pre-historic fantasy land with dinosaurs, cavemen and indecisive pterodactyls. Chip, a young cave-child, accidentally discovers chocolate, or should we say Choc-rock? It was also discovered that dinosaurs are not as scary as they may seem and can in fact be man’s best friend. The musical included catchy songs such as ‘Chock-rock’ and ‘Dumble the Dinosaur’ where the crowd happily joined in.

Mr Heley takes the credit for the music adaptation, alongside the cave people musicians who did a superb job throughout the musical, using a variety of exotic instruments such as; a Djembé, Indian bells, a bass xylophone and multi-coloured Boom Whackers.

Many thanks to all the staff and parents who helped out with the innovative custom designs and the wonderfully creative stage set.
