Year 1 performance: A snowman at sunset
12 December 2014
It’s the second day running where St George’s students have done themselves proud by putting on a delightful Christmas Performance. Year 1 showed their irresistible sides with ‘A Snowman at Sunset’, a wonderful story embracing the importance of teamwork, where children have to work together to build a snowman when there just isn’t enough snow. The students looked wonderful in their creative costumes and the large snowman they built stole the show.
The play was full of wonderful Christmas songs such as ‘Look at the Snowflakes’, ‘We’ve a Snowman to Make’, ‘Ten Tubby Snowmen’ which was acted out extremely well and had the audience in chuckles. ‘The angry song’ was performed very convincingly amongst many other festive songs. Year 1 finished the show with ‘We Wish you a Merry Christmas’ which certainly left the audience in the Christmas spirit.
Well done to all the students for acting and singing so well and a massive thank you to the staff for helping these performances go so smoothly.
