VR lessons a hit with students
02 March 2022
Lessons in Secondary have taken on a hi-tech element with the introduction of Virtual Reality. VR lessons have been held for chemistry and geography classes so far, with many more planned in the future.
The VR lessons have been a hit with students with many commenting that it allows them to experience things that they would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience.
"I loved the VR," said Year 7 student Felipe DV after a science lesson. "You can see everything better and as if you were there, so it is very useful."
Maria BG also enjoyed the VR experience. "I think it would be a lot easier for students to learn that way," she said.
Mr Foz, the Digital Learning Coordinator, said there are plans to incorporate Virtual Reality across a range of subjects in Secondary, including history, art, science, geography, languages and more. The school is currently in the testing phase, in which students and staff are learning how to use the devices and exploring ways they can be maximised in lessons.
