Year 12 and 13 students recently took part in the Senior Mathematical Challenge; a 90 minute paper that tests problem solving and logic skills.

Over 100,000 students from schools across the UK and internationally returned scripts for the Challenge with the top 60% of candidates receiving certificates. The top 10% were awarded a gold certificate, the next 20% silver and the next 30% bronze. 

From St George’s 16 students were successful in achieving certificates. Congratulations to Alexios V (best in school), Ivan P and Julie W, gold certificate winners; also Bowen L, Cormac M, Matthew D, Alistair R, Laura R, Costas K, Alia M and Julie D, silver certificate winners; and Barbara G, Emanuele M, Matteo D, Euan J and Tanay S, bronze certificate winners.
