St George's is delighted to announce that the Year 13 economics students have won the Generation Euro Award run by the European Central Bank (ECB). They successfully negotiated round one in November 2017 and round two in February 2018. The ‘Grand Final’ took place on Monday 12^th March, where they presented another video about why they participated in the competition. They were then grilled by five experts from the ECB on their knowledge of monetary policy and general economic awareness.

As a result of their hard work and achievement, the students have been invited to the ECB during the Easter holidays to collect the award. The award will be presented by the President of the ECB, Mario Draghi and they will also have the opportunity to ask him questions.
