Students study RSA algorithm
15 November 2022
Leo P and I went to the University of Luxembourg's Mathematics Department during the Halloween holidays and studied the RSA algorithm. The RSA algorithm is the mathematics and coding behind most types of security systems, for example the security system of Amazon.
While studying the RSA algorithm, Leo focused on making encryption and decryption codes, as well as his own RSA algorithm code, as I focused more on fully understanding the different theories, such as Fermat's little theorem and the Miller-Rabin test.
Leo and I both really enjoyed this experience and would recommend others interested in maths to volunteer for such a fantastic opportunity to not only be able to expand their knowledge on mathematics, but to also understand a bit more about how university life is and be able to work in that environment.
