Students Embark on their Merite Jeunesse Expeditions
09 September 2020
The long awaited Merite Jeunesse expedition season finally took off in early September. Students from Year 10, 11 & 12 have embarked on their adventurous journeys as they look to complete their respective awards. Hiking for up to 10 hours a day (even more than the 8 hours of daily activity required) for the Gold Award, our students demonstrated true determination and resilience, overcoming adverse weather and challenging terrain along the way. The Bronze Award students completed their 2-day expedition on the weekend of 5-6 September mastering the arts of camping, cooking and map reading. Further expeditions are planned for the month ahead, which is great news and is testament to the hard work Ms Montague and her husband Loic put into the award scheme.
