Students display enterprising spirit

14 June 2022

Students across Primary were busy last week creating, selling and buying during Enterprise Week. They also raised an incredible €3397 for charity.

Year 6 students used their coding lessons to create computer games for the Year 6 Games Arcade, which was open at various times and locations last Thursday and Friday. There were maze games, basketball shooting games and an impossibly difficult wall runner game, among many others. Year 6 showed amazing creativity and great coding skills in creating such diverse games for younger students to play.

Year 5 students used their artistic skills to create beautiful felt white rose flowers. These were made in tribute to the White Rose movement which resisted the Nazis during the Second World War, a topic the students learned about in humanities lessons this term. Other roses were yellow and blue to show support for the people of Ukraine. The flowers were very popular and sold out quickly.

Other classes made and sold bracelets, bookmarks, games, keyrings and more, all of which sold out in quickly.
