Key Stage 5 maths students Leonardo P, Laura SB, Noe T, Stefan B and Arina S participated in the M3 Siam Modelling Challenge on 3rd March.

This competition was completed within a 14-hour window and the students submitted an answer five minutes before their deadline.

They created an impressive, 20-page full mathematical model (pictured below), including coding, graphs, assumptions and conclusion, addressing the increase of homelessness in Seattle and Alburquerque due to the increase in housing prices.

Head of Mathematics and Computer Science Mr Regueira-Liñares said: "This shows they are brilliant mathematicians who can work in a high-stress scenario, developing creative approaches to new models."
