St George's Under 16 rugby sevens team kicked off the season with a match against ASUB Waterloo Rugby Club in Brussels on Sunday, 10 November.

With only two of the squad members of rugby clubs outside of school, St George's were on the back foot. Two heavy defeats against Heidelberg and Waterloo gave the team plenty of tackling practice, but no joy in attack.

In the third match, St George's took on Rush 7s. A length-of-the-field effort from Konstantin V, in which he was able to take out his gumshield, stumble and shout at the coaches, took St George's to the wire.  A late score sealed St George's defeat 17-10.

After lunch, St George's matched up against top seeds Heidelberg again, where progress was evident but the opposition had too much again.
In the final match against Rush 7s, St George's scored first and then led 21-12 just after the break. Unfortunately tired legs and a try at the death saw us just lose out 22-21.
