Arts students met Catherine Born from the Parsons School in Paris which is part of The New School in New York. The 'School' is an Art and Design University with many courses including Fashion Design, Strategic Design and Management and Fine Art. As part of the admissions team Ms Born explained the application process to the KS5 students for example how to build up a portfolio and what they look for in applications, including making expressive and personal work.

She shared with us lots of visual examples and also some of the successful alumni who have attended the schools including Marc Jacobs, Ai Weiwei and John Cage. Students who study with Parsons have the chance to work with famous Fashion Houses, gain work experience in industry such as Paris Fashion Week and also regularly visit famous museums and galleries.
