On Friday 23^rd February, a group of young actors from St George’s Secondary school performed their own version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet to a packed house at Mierscher Kulturhaus. Focusing on the central theme of Hamlet’s madness; students approached the text using Greek Chorus to bring to life the Ghost of Hamlet’s father, a contemporary ensemble movement inspired by the work of Frantic assembly, live song and epic sword fighting accompanied by live drumming. The students should feel proud of their achievement, the response from the audience was incredibly positive, including a congratulations from the British Ambassador.
