Primary and Secondary Sports Day 2015
09 July 2015
Sports Day has been a long-established tradition at St George’s! Luckily the weather cooled down making Sports Day an enjoyable event for everyone.
Throughout the week Primary and Secondary students have had their set days where they have been competing against the school’s four academic houses – Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.
The Secondary Sports Day claimed to be the most exciting in recent years; Fire, Water and Earth all began the final 100m sprint relay with a chance of lifting the Sports Day Champion House Cup. After a morning of events including High Jump, Long Jump, Javelin, Football and Rugby, the afternoon 100m finals and sprint relays decided the outcome.
Water held a narrow 1 point lead over Earth as the final relay began but Earth pipped Water on the line to turn the tables and secure the victory.
