Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, baseball and the theatre were among the highlights of Year 10's one-week residential trip to New York recently.
The students' schedule was packed full of fantastic activities including:
- Riding the attractions at Luna Park on Coney Island
- Visiting the One World Observatory (on floors 100 to 102 of the One World Trade Center)
- Discovering the wax models at Madame Tussauds
- Walking the New York High Line
- Bowling at Chelsea Piers
- Shopping at Macy's
- Exploring the 9/11 Memorial Museum
- A guided walk around Central Park
- Dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe
- Watching Wicked at the theatre
- Going to a New York Mets baseball game
- Walking through Times Square
- A boat trip around the Statue of Liberty
- Exploring the National Immigration Museum on Ellis Island
- Visiting Brooklyn Bridge
Students enjoyed their experience of the bustling city – the impressive skyline, the bright lights and the local cuisine – and returned to Luxembourg with souvenirs from the Big Apple and plenty of long-lasting memories.
