Ms Banana from Food Sharing Luxembourg visited students in Years 1 and 2 to discuss food waste and how to reduce the amount of food we waste.

It is estimated the average Luxembourg resident throws away 112kg of food each year - that's equivalent to a large panda - and households are the biggest source of food waste in Luxembourg.

Ms Banana taught students how to look beyond wonky carrots and brown-skinned apples to see the nutritious value that can still be enjoyed. Students also learnt recipe songs on how to make delicious banana bread.
