The Year 10 Media students have been busy for weeks transforming the Media room into a 'greenscreen' studio, filming staff and students across Years 7-13, and editing roughly 300 clips filmed from the latest Xmas video. Lunchtimes for the past few weeks have seen some peculiar sights, steps and sounds as Yul, Brayden, Amy, Eduardo and Alek managed to direct their peers and teachers through costumes, striking rock god poses, lines for lip-syncing and frequent camera battery/SD card hot-swapping.

The editing process is extensive with so many clips to go through, so unfortunately the video link will not be ready before the newsletter is published, but will be available from Friday 21st by typing ‘IGSMediaStudies’ into YouTube and clicking on the channel top menu (see screenshot).

Year 8DB also took advantage of having tutor time in the Media room and access to the Media Macs for editing by shooting their own Xmas video, a compilation of festive classics which you can find on the same channel (or use this link: https://youtu.be/tBJ29EW5LYY).

I would like to thank the many staff and students who gave up their time and were prepared to look a bit silly in order to help create a fun video to end the year on a bright note, and of course to the Year 10 students who have worked hard to make it happen! Have a merry Media Xmas!
