Last weekend, two teams of expert mathematicians from Year 6 travelled to Enka School in Istanbul to compete in the 22^nd international Maths Quest competition, against students from other international schools across the globe. Over three days, they solved maths problems individually and in teams, both at desks and around museums – and even managed to spend time seeing some sights! Both of our teams performed very well, with Eashan, Oscar, Abhipoorna and Hubert finishing in joint 8^th place; and Thomas, Ivan, Elena and Alessandro coming 2^nd overall – St George’s best result to date! The attitude and behaviour of our students was also complimented by staff members from other schools: congratulations to all eight team members!
