English and Science Faculty Day 2016

12 April 2016

St George's Students in Secondary demonstrated their detective and investigative skills on March 23rd during the latest Faculty day organised by the English and Science faculties. Students had to solve a ‘crime’ committed on the school premises using clues found at the scene, eye witness testimonies as well as interviewing suspects. Science laboratories were turned into ‘CSI’ style crime labs where forensic evidence was closely examined to help determine who the guilty party was who allegedly stole secret exam papers and was holding the exams secretary hostage. Police investigation reports, newspaper reports and evidence trails were published and finally after a full days investigation the crime was solved and the culprit was identified. The students thoroughly enjoyed the day and demonstrated a great variety of skills and talents in both verbal and written communication, scientific research as well as using logic and insight to solve a very complex investigation.
