12 December 2018

On Friday 7th December, Year 10 economics students visited the Spuerkeess bank as well as the Banque Centrale Du Luxembourg. This gave the students the opportunity to learn about the functions of both a commercial and a central bank. During the visit the students were briefed by the Chief Economist of the Spuerkeess and were able to view the exhibits in the banking museum. At the central bank the students were quizzed upon their knowledge and understanding of the Eurosystem and the importance of controlling inflation. The students benefited a great deal from this trip and impressed people with their knowledge of the Eurosystem.
