Students in Years 1, 2 and 4 were treated to assemblies about Diwali this week.

Miss Pillay led each assembly starting with a namaste greeting and telling the students about her own experiences celebrating Diwali. She was impressed by how much the students already knew about the five-day festival of light. 

Diwali originated in India and is celebrated around the world by Hindus, Sikhs and some Buddhists.
