Members of St George's Debating Club competed in the Sir Winston Churchill European Debating Championships in Bucharest, Romania, recently.  The four-day visit included time to explore sites in and around the capital as well as preparing for some intensive debating.

Competing against 16 other schools, St George's team gallantly debated topics such as over-tourism, Artificial Intelligence, robotics and social values. The team of seven students from Years 11, 12 and 13 performed with excellent determination and rigour, and narrowly missed out on a semi-final place.

Congratulations to all students for their terrific efforts in representing the school and doing both themselves and the school proud.
