The COBIS Junior Games team had a fantastic time in Abu Dhabi and achieved a well-deserved fourth place overall in the COBIS Games with a high score of 470. St George’s basketball team worked hard to reach the finals, eventually losing to a very strong team from the International School of Moscow. The swimming team achieved a gold medal in the girls' 50m breast stroke and bronze medals in the girls' medley relay. In the football tournament, after narrowly missing out on moving up to the Cup competition, they made the final in the Plate competition, finally losing to Egypt British International School. The team also had a chance to see the sights of Abu Dhabi on a bus tour, visiting the fabulous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque on the way, and later had time to do some souvenir shopping at the Marina Mall. The teachers and team coaches are extremely proud of the way the students conducted themselves, both on and off the sports field.
