As part of the European Hub, St George’s International School is hosting the Building and Leading Teams course, one of the modules that contributes to the ECIS Middle Leader Certificate. This 1.5-day professional learning experience develops the essential skills needed to build trust, foster collaboration, and lead effective teams in international school settings.

Who can apply for NPQs?

NPQs are open to teaching staff who are looking to build on their leadership capacity. Whether you are in your first leadership role or aiming to move into senior positions, there’s an NPQ that aligns with your goals.


Where and how are they delivered?

Courses are delivered online and through face-to-face sessions in Luxembourg in collaboration with the UCL Institute of Education including a blend of online learning, live sessions and practical school-based tasks. As part of The European Hub, sessions are scheduled to suit international school calendars.

What are NPQs?

Internationally recognised, National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are UK Department for Education-accredited programmes designed to support teachers and school leaders at different stages of their careers. The European Hub provides access to high-quality professional development from quality providers tailored to international school contexts, with online and in-person components designed to be flexible and relevant.

When do programmes start?

Most NPQ programmes begin in autumn 2025, with applications typically opening in spring/summer. Early registration is encouraged due to limited spaces and funding availability.
