Summer Schools 2025

St George's Summer Schools are back in 2025 and bigger than ever with more summer schools than we've ever offered before. With nine courses available over two weeks, children aged from 7 to 18 years will be spoilt for choice. Run by St George's teachers and staff, all summer schools are held at our campus in Hamm from 9am to 3pm.


Arts and Crafts

Students will explore a variety of art and craft activities to create personalised items such as tie-dyed T-shirts, shrink plastic accessories and badges. This Summer School aims to foster students' creative abilities and playful approach to art.

When: Monday to Friday, 18 to 22 August, 9am to 3pm
Age: 9 to 14 years

Sing and Learn French

Children will practise French through contemporary French songs and fun, creative, intercultural activities. This Summer School is not suitable for absolute beginners. A minimum of A2 level is required.

Basketball Rising Stars

The Basketball Rising Stars Summer School gives students a chance, no matter their ability, to improve on their individual/team basketball skills through fun activities, specific drills and small-sided games.

When: Tuesday to Thursday, 26 to 28 August, 9am to 3pm

Acting for Stage

This Summer School gives young actors the opportunity to produce a show in a week. They will work with others across the age range to mutually learn. The week ends with a pizza party and a performance in St George's Auditorium.

Songwriting and Production

Students will learn the craft of songwriting through daily songwriting challenges and activities. They’ll explore how to write lyrics, vocal hooks, and musical accompaniments.

Painting Workshop

This three-day painting workshop explores texture paint, acrylic, watercolour, and gouache. Students will learn techniques and styles while producing a variety of artwork.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

A week of creative activities designed to support returning to English speaking after the summer. Great for developing literacy, confidence and transitioning smoothly into the school year.

Wellbeing Lab: Summer Reboot

This summer school includes yoga, mindfulness, journalling, creative workshops, wellness sessions and healthy snack prep. A week of balance, stress management, and self-discovery.

Join Isaac Perez for a string orchestra summer school designed for violin players with experience. Develop musicianship, technique, and performance ability.
