Author, Dave Keeling took the time to speak to Secondary students on their first day of school. Dave's talk was humorous as well as thought provoking.
Key Stage 3 students had the unique opportunity to join Dave's session on the brain, they saw how the brain works but also more importantly what is happening when the brain isn't working. Dave used a variety of ways of tapping into students' confidence, growth mindset and memory skills
Key Stage 4 students had a session that focused on confidence and motivation in preparation for exams/Alevels, students learned How to create flow and the cycle of change, time management and memory
Key Stage 5 students had a session that looked at the skills for success in the 21st century, these are bravery, energy, creativity, openness, motivation and self esteem.
Staff also had a session with Dave, the session was called 'Make Em Laugh Make Em Think', it focused on the power of laughter and humour as a tool for change in education.
