St George's News
Find out what's happening at St George's!
Last week our Admission's officer, Kerry reached out to current and past staff for a virtual cup of tea and cake on St George's Day. Ordinarily St George's day is a long standing tradition celebrated in School by inviting special guests to a traditional English Afternoon Tea while enjoying a selection of performances by students, speeches by guests, the head girl and Head boy and Principal, Dr Barkei.
St George's day is commemorated throughout the school by students enjoying their own individual tea parties in class or outside, they play traditional English games such as; ‘splat the rat’, ‘jump rope’, ‘penny roll’, ‘hopscotch, and ‘pin the tail on the dragon’.
Thank you to all you who joined us by having in a cup of tea and slice of cake celebrating St George's day during these unusual circumstances! In the photos below you may recognise some familiar faces enjoying a very international cup of tea with UK, Luxembourg, Germany, Scotland and USA (flying the St George’s flag in New Mexico) represented!
Next year the School will be celebrating it's 30th St George's Day and we can't wait to have an extra slice of cake with you all in person!
