Update: COVID-19 School Closure until 20th April 2020
Posted 19/03/2020 09:16

Dear Parents,

You may have heard the news that yesterday late afternoon the Luxembourg government instructed all schools in Luxembourg to remain closed for a further week until the 3rd of April inclusive. The following two weeks are the scheduled Easter holidays and so therefore the first day of school at St George’s will be Monday 20th April. We will continue to provide online lessons and teaching material for all students until the 3rd April in the current manner.

You may also have heard that the UK government yesterday evening closed schools in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and also cancelled domestic GCSE and A-level examinations for this year. At the moment we anticipate that our own examinations for IGCSE and International A-level operated by  Cambridge Examinations will still take place as these pre-dominantly take place outside the United Kingdom. We will keep parents informed of further developments.

Thank you very much for your support in these matters.

With my best regards,

Dr Barkei
