St George’s Year 12 BTEC students join The Orchestra de Chambre du Luxembourg (OCL) in the classical reproduction of Peter & the Wolf

Join St George’s International School for a magical, musical introduction to one of the most-loved masterpieces in the classical repertoire, Peter & The Wolf!

On Thursday 19th December, St George’s International School’s Year 12 BTEC students will perform alongside members of the Orchestra de Chambre du Luxembourg (OCL) in their upcoming production of Prokofiev’s Peter & The Wolf. Peter & The Wolf is based upon a story that is often narrated throughout the show with each character represented by an instrument, in this instance, a wind quintet. Our cast of young actors will bring Peter, his grandfather, the wolf, the bird, the duck, the cat and the hunters to life through music. Individual instruments will play the key characters as one of our cast members narrates the tale of brave young Peter’s encounter with the hungry wolf.  This performance promises to bring the 30-minute tale to life for the young and young-at-heart.

Experience classical music’s most famous and enduring moments in a concert that harnesses the power of music to share the joy with all ages, backgrounds and nationalities.

You can see a live performance of this work on Thursday 19th December at 19:00 in St George’s Auditorium.
