St George’s heads towards a promising start to the new academic year 2019-2020; the School opened its doors to over 800 students, with another 20 students expected to join mid-September.
Earlier this week the School also distributed 48 Long Service Awards as a token of appreciation for long-standing commitment to working at St George’s from 3 years to over 20 years. Last but certainly not least, St George’s received yet another set of excellent results in I/GCSE, A/S and A-Level exams, allowing our students the opportunity to access top universities worldwide. - 43% of examinations were graded A* or A
- 90% of examinations were graded A* to C
Our students achieved a 100% pass rate with 19% of entries achieving the highest grade possible, an A*, 11% higher than the UK average. 43% of St George’s examination papers were graded A* or A and 90% of the students achieved a grade C or above.
A/S Level Results
- 66% of examinations graded A/B*
- 84% of examinations graded A to C
66% of examination papers were graded at A or B and 84% of examination papers achieved a grade C or above, 3% higher than last year. 49% of St George’s students achieved a grade A, 27.5% higher than the UK average.
*At A/S there is no A* grade available.
- 46% of examinations graded A*/A
- 95% of examinations graded A* to C
A total of 329 I/GCSE examinations were sat in 17 different subjects, 95% of students achieved grades A* to C, whilst 46% of all examination papers were graded A* or A. 94% of our students achieved at least 5 grades from A* to C, 2% higher than last year. These students will now progress on to the next school year (Year 12) where they will study their chosen A/S level subjects.
