The weekend of 23rd-24th March saw two teams from St George’s participate in the Relais pour la Vie for the 14th year running.
This year’s event lasted for 25 hours and students, staff, their families and friends represented the school on the track for the duration of the event. Our teams even received a thumbs up of support from our Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel during the opening ceremony.
We began fundraising last December with the quiz and continued with cake sales, pancake sales and the small coin collections in reception and staff rooms. The school generously supported the entry fees while participants also donated to the cause. The final total will be known this week and will be announced in next week’s newsletter.
Thank you to all those who supported the St George’s teams and their fundraising for the Fondation Cancer.
