Islamic inspired Stained Glass Windows were created by Year 4 in response to the curriculum Topic Islamic Civilisation. Using geometric shapes and themes from nature as seen in richly decorated mosaics in Mosques and palaces, the students created individual windows that were displayed together to create a jewel-like city.
Using the same curriculum topic: Islamic Civilisation, the students used their clay modelling skills to make little diyas, used in India to celebrate Diwali. The diyas were fired in the School’s kiln and decorated with metallic paint.
