Year 11 Student Wins National Jonk Fuerscher Contest

On Saturday 27 March 2021, St George’s International School student, Max took part in the virtual 50th national Jonk Fuerscher contest, a platform specifically designed for young budding scientists. Max presented his project via live stream alongside 44 other participants covering a variety of areas including Biology, Chemistry, IT & Engineering.

Max entered the National Jonk Fuerscher Contest with his project “Using python to solve chemistry equations”. The FJSL jury was very impressed with his work and awarded Max with a fully funded trip to Taipei, Taiwan to represent Luxembourg in the International Science Competition taking place 2022.


The jury hopes that Max will return to the National Jonk Fuerscher Contest next year having developed his project further into a working app for all to use.
