Leaders volunteer at Red Cross

  • Secondary News

Sixth Form Community Leaders have been hard at work on several projects in the last few weeks. One of their most recent projects is volunteering at the Red Cross Centre in Kirchberg, which is currently housing families from Ukraine.

The students are working with children aged between 0-18 years on a variety of fun activities. This weekend they decorated the premises with Christmas crafts that they constructed with the children. The students have given up their time to make sure that those less fortunate are not forgotten. St George's is extremely proud of the school’s ambassadors, led very capably by Heads Mathilda and Flavio who have reached out into the community and embraced every aspect of the role. Please support the students in their future endeavours as we look to strengthen our links with the community.

As you are aware from the above news story, there are many children who have recently arrived from Ukraine to a Ukrainian refugee camp in Kirchberg, escaping the war. St George's Community team's goal is to provide each and every one of these children with a present for Christmas. We kindly ask that you donate some money to help the cause, any amount would be greatly appreciated. Please donate here.
