Calculating speed with physics

Year 10 students measured the distance across the football pitch and the time taken to travel across the football pitch during a physics lesson.

They repeated their readings, calculated a mean time then calculated their average speed. Students chose a variety of movement styles including jogging backwards, rolling, hopping and cartwheeling.
