The Young Voices 2024 team, comprising 25 Year 6 Primary students, embarked on an exhilarating journey to London's O2 Arena, accompanied by Ms Pillay, Ms Watson, Mr Reilly, Mr Wicker and Ms Jolita. Their mission? To partake in the world's largest choir event. With over 9,000 children from across the UK in attendance, the stage was set for a remarkable performance.
Months of dedicated rehearsals under the guidance of Ms Watson and Mr Reilly had honed the children's skills, preparing them to deliver stellar renditions of an array of captivating songs, including a walking medley, Moana Mash-up, Today Is Going to Be a Great Day, and a pop medley for the year 2024.
Following an enchanting evening filled with melodious tunes and harmonies, the group seized the opportunity to explore London's iconic landmarks and delve into the history surrounding illustrious figures and structures such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and Buckingham Palace. But the adventure didn't end there! A brisk one-and-a-half-hour walking tour through the bustling streets of London culminated in an exhilarating Thames Rocket speedboat excursion along the Thames, adding a thrilling finale to their unforgettable experience.
