St George's success in Maths Quest

  • Primary News

Two teams of four students from Year 6 took part in the annual ECIS Maths Quest competition last week.
For the second year, the competition was held virtually, with 148 students taking part from 37 schools across Europe and the Middle East.
The winning school was Enka School in Istanbul. St George's performed competitively and finished with Team 2 in fourth place and Team 1 in sixth place, making us the school with the highest final places overall.
Federico won a joint silver medal as the runner-up in the individual competition. Maxim was the joint bronze medal winner in the individual competition, with only two points separating third and first places.
Well done to all our team members: Adriana, Federico, Julia, Kaloyan, Maxim, Nicholas, Rebeca and Sophie.
Special thanks to Mr Ballard, who, as part of the ECIS Maths Team, has been working on organising Maths Quest for several months, as well as co-hosting during the event.
