Why we support Mow-Free May
- Eco News
This year, Primary Eco-Agents have organised “Mow-Free May” at the Kiss & Fly. This means the school will leave flowers and grass to grow wild for the month of May, to support biodiversity and provide food for the insects. Eco--gents would like to encourage the school community to consider supporting “Mow Free May” where possible in your communes and neighbourhoods.
Here are some quotes by our Eco-Agents:
“Being an Eco-Agent is amazing. I love fighting for our planet - it’s so inspirational. Throughout this year we have planted flowers, been to fairs, met up with other schools and made new friends to share ideas for saving the planet.”
- Sam G, Year 6
“Being an Eco-Agent is like saving a life because were helping to sustain nature and nature keepes us alive.”
- Rohak J, Year 6
St George’s has more than 45 Eco-Agents from Year 3 to Year 10. Eco-Agents meet weekly during their lunchtimes to create and deliver projects in the school to help our planet.
